Blizzard launches a forum tool Help WoW Players Find Old Friend

  • With World of Warcraft Classic just around the corner, - a faithful recreation of the original MMO before its many expansions - many players who have been with the title since those early days may find themselves feeling nostalgic about their old friendships that may have faded as the years went on. Blizzard certainly seems to think that, so it has come up with a way for players to track down and reconnect with others from their old servers.

Blizzard has launched a forum tool called “Classic Connections 2004-2006” with the goal of helping pre-expansion WoW players find each other again. Its structure is simple: You start by selecting Horde or Alliance, and then what type of server—PVE, PVP, role-playing PVE, or role-playing PVP—you used to play on. From there, you choose your old server and then post who you were. Blizzard recommends starting with your character’s name, race, class, and guild, as well as the character names of people you’re hoping to tearfully embrace when WoW Classic launches in a few weeks. In addition, if you are in need of Cheap WOW Classic Mounts, you can visit our website 5mmo.com.

To use the Classic Connections tool and find fellow WoW veterans that you used to play with, all a players has to do is login to the official Blizzard Forums, use the Classic Connections 2004-2006 tool, and get started. The process is simple and straightforward - you choose whether you were in the Alliance or the Horde, and then you choose which realm you played on - Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, or Roleplaying PvP. Afterwards, you will be prompted to submit a forum post that includes your character's name, gender, race, and class, the guild/s you were associated with, and the names of the players you would like to reconnect with.
